MJM Academy ID Skate – Tryout Weekend for the 2025–26 Season We are excited to announce the MJM Academy ID Skate—an elite evaluation weekend giving players the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of NHL and professional coaches and earn a spot in the Maine Jr Mariners Academy for the 2025–26 season. This will be a full weekend of on-ice training, game evaluations, a live seminar and Q&A session, and exit interviews with our staff to provide valuable feedback and direction on next steps. Schedule of Events Friday Night – "Practice with the Pros" Led by NHL veterans Graeme Townshend and Bob Corkum 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM – 2010–2011 Birth Years 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM – 2007–2009 Birth Years Saturday Afternoon – Game Evaluations Evaluated by Graeme Townshend, Ben Guite, and Bob Corkum 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM – Game Slot 1 (2007–2009 Birth Years) 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM – Game Slot 2 (2010–2011 Birth Years) Saturday Evening – Seminar & Q&A with the Coaches 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Hear from Graeme Townshend, Ben Guite, and Bob Corkum as they share their journeys from youth hockey to the NHL, and learn how the MJM Academy model is designed to develop players, maximize exposure, and move athletes forward. Our coaches will also cover how MJM's structure mirrors the top prep school environments while adding key showcases and events to elevate player visibility. Sunday Evening – Final Game Evaluations 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Game Slot 3 (2010–2011 Birth Years) 6:15 PM – 7:15 PM – Game Slot 4 (2007–2009 Birth Years) Sunday Evening – Exit Interviews with the Coaching Staff 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM Players and parents will meet individually with the coaching staff to receive feedback, discuss strengths, and review the opportunities within the 2025–26 MJM Academy season.
